PARISH COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
February 19, 2018
Members present: David Holwager, Darren Klein, Tom Munchel, Debbie Weiss, Teresa Drake, Janet Sweet, Dan Sweet, and Amy Engle. Also attending: Barb Ringwald and Father John Hall. Absent: Debbie Magiera, Wayne Hokey
Opening prayer was led by Father John Hall.
The meeting was presided over by Dan Sweet.
David Holwager made a motion with Debbie Weiss seconding that the minutes from the January 22, 2018 meeting be accepted. Motion passed.
Darren Klein reviewed the Finance Reports for January and the statements were reconciled. The Finance Committee looking into parishioner collections being made through automatic deposits from members personal accounts and making credit card collections through our website. Tom Munchel made a motion to accept the Finance Report with Teresa Drake seconding. Motion passed.
· Parish Center Kitchen Renovation Proposals-
Teresa Drake received quotes from Leah Estes of Gillmans and Joe Davis of Davis Cabinets. Amy Engle suggested the need for some pull-out shelves on the lower cabinets. Barb Ringwald suggested getting label holders for the cabinets.
Teresa Drake will contact Henny Penny, a commercial grade food equipment manufacturer in Eaton, Ohio for possible donation of a commercial refrigerator/freezer for the Parish Center Kitchen
Dave Holwager will contact Dungan Plumbing and Heating about replacing the water heater with a larger one for the kitchen.
Jon Turpin is getting a quote together on updating the electrical needs in the kitchen.
Dave Sweet is getting a quote on replacing the doors on the north side of the center.
Dan Sweet suggested getting a price on a second rack for storage of the good chairs we already have.
· Energy Audit from Duke and lighting change recommendations
Table this for another meeting.
· Follow up on Plan of Action Audit feedback
Barb Ringwald reported the audit responses are attached to the Parish Council Agenda for this month.
· Other Old Business
Dave Holwager is trying to place an order of plants with Lincoln High School Ag Department. Dave hopes to get a response soon from the school; otherwise we will look at other vendors for purchasing plants.
· Local Donation Requests (Proceeds from Community Parish Charity Fund)
$75 donation request for sign from the Cambridge City Youth Baseball League. Tom Munchel suggested the sign be located at the T-Ball Diamond.
$75 donation request for a sign from the Western Wayne Girls Softball League.
Dave Holwager made a motion to give each league $75 with Tom Munchel seconding, motion passed.
$75 donation request for St Jude Skate-a-Thon at the Dublin Community Club. Tom Munchel made a motion to donate $75 to the Dublin Skate with Dave Holwager seconding, motion passed.
· Cancellation of Church Services due to bad weather
Amy Engle suggested needing more time to notify members if Mass will be cancelled due to bad weather conditions. A discussion followed. The safety of our parishioners in traveling to and from Mass is our number one priority.
If Mass needs to be cancelled on Saturday evening, all attempts to notify parishioners shall be made at least an hour before Mass.
If weather conditions require Mass cancellation on Sunday morning, all attempts to cancel shall be made on Sunday by 6:30 a.m.

Dave Holwager made a motion with Darren Klein seconding to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed.
